Welcome 4EVAMO community!
November is here bringing with it a shift in light, a time for gathering and a natural call for reflection . As the pace of life often speeds up leading to the holidays this month offers a vital opportunity to E.V.O.L.V.E. our inner commitment to mental and spiritual wellness.
This month let's focus on two powerful grounding themes. Gratitude and Stillness
1) The power of Gratitude: More than just a holiday meal
Gratitude is not just a polite social custom it's a powerful spiritual and mental health tool. Studies show that regularly practicing gratitude can require your brain, leading to better mood and reduced stress
Mental Health Practice: The daily " three good things"
Make it a non negotiable part of your evening routine. Before you check out for the night, write down or simply think of three things that went well today and considered why they happened. Example: "My morning coffee was perfect because my partner made it just the way I like." This practice shifts your focus from what you lack to what you already value. It's an active step in appreciating the present.
Spiritual Practice: Mindful meal blessing
Before diving into a November meal-- whether is quick lunch or a full holiday spread--take.30 seconds to acknowledge the journey of the food: the sun, the soil, the hands that prepared it. This simple act moves your mind out of consumption mode into a state of Openness and deep thanks, connecting you to the larger web of life
2) Finding stillness in the seasons momentum
As out calendar fill up our minds often follow suit becoming cluttered and overstimulated. True spiritual and mental renewal requires us to actively seek Stillness.
Mental Health practice: 5 minute grounding reset
When you feel anxiety or stress creeping in, use the power of Grounding -a concept we often discuss
1. Stop: Drop what you are doing
2. Connect: Find a wall, chair, or the floor. Feel the solid surface supporting you if possible, step outside barefoot for a few minutes (your body will thank you)
3. Breathe: Take five slow, deep breaths fully exhaling everything outside.
4.Listen and Visualize: Simply Listen to the sounds around you then Visualize an anchor dropped deep into the earth holding you steady.
Spiritual Practice: Digital Sunset
Elevate your sleep quality and spiritual clarity by establishing a firm "Digital Sunset"
Rule: Stop using phone, t.v, e.t.c. one hour before bed.
Replacement: Use this hour for quiet, non stimulating activities reading a physical book, gentle stretching, or writing a journal.
This intentional boundary reduces mental noise and allows you for deep rest and meaningful dreams.
November reminds us that even as the world slows down, nurture our inner fire. Embrace this reflective season and continue to E.V.O.L.V.E. your highest self.
